Living in Huntsville

Huntsville was founded in 1860 by Jefferson Hunt. It is one of three small communities comprising what is known as “Ogden Valley,” and is the only incorporated town of the three, incorporated in 1924; the other two communities are Eden and Liberty. Living in Eden

The first home here was a log cabin built in 1857 for summer herdsmen Erastus Bingham and Joseph Hardy. The settlers hired a government surveyor, Washington Jenkins, to plot the town. Jenkins said he thought the area was one of the most beautiful sites he had ever surveyed and suggested the biblical name "Eden". Eden has everything from private ranch homes to mountainside mansions, vacation ski homes and condos. Living in Liberty

Liberty, Utah is located four miles northwest of Eden and was established in 1859. Traditionally a farming and ranching community, Liberty has developed in recent years into a recreational community and commuter town for the Ogden area. Liberty is part of the Weber School District, but has no schools of its own. Students attend elementary and junior high schools in Eden, and Weber High School in Pleasant View. Communities in or near Liberty include Durfee Creek, Nordic Valley, Rivers Edge, and more.
